Meet at 7.30am
CAP FEE: R400 Adults, R200 Juniors
Car Followers and Land Rovers: By Donation (suggested at R200)

Land Rover owners and drivers are invited to attend this special Meet of the Rand Hunt. The day will be in two parts and you are invited to attend either one or, preferably, both parts.

a. The Draghunt Meet: 7.30am
We will meet at the Bowl Arena on Inanda Country Base (at the intersection of Maple and Rose Road Kyalami).
Park in the Fangio's restaurant carpark. The horses and riders will meet in the Bowl Arena in front of the Restaurant at 7.30am
The riders and car followers will move off from there at 7.50am

The car followers will be taken to viewing spots to watch the hounds tracking the scent with the riders following them. A guide will lead the cars off road (but no demanding 4x4 driving required) and explain the sport of draghunting as it unfolds in front of us.(See the information below about draghunting).  We will drive to 4 viewing spots in the morning with 'checks' in between were we can see the hound and riders up-close.

There is no charge for following the hunt by car - however donations to the hounds well-being would be welcomed.

The event will end by approximately 10.00am at the kennels on Inanda Country Base. We will then gather at Fangio's Restaurant for the 'Hunt Breakfast'*

b. The Hunt Breakfast (Booking essential): From 10.00am
After the hunt is over, we will gather at Fangio's restaurant overlooking the Bowl arena, for 'breakfast'. (*Traditionally called 'Breakfast' no matter what time the hunt ends). We need to reserve tables and therefore must know how many people will join (This is a very popular venue). Choose from the menu of pizzas, pastas and similar and a cash bar for your own account. All riders and followers are welcome to join us.

All Land Rovers present (of any vintage or model) will be invited to join the display of Land Rovers in the Bowl arena in front of the restaurant.

I hope that we will provide a different and enjoyable day for Land Rover drivers to enjoy their vehicles and to experience an unique and interesting sport.
